The Black Bull Menu

We hope our menu offers a broad selection and that you find something to your appetite. If there is anything else that you really fancy please ask, as we may be able to help.

Should you have a special dietary problem requirements please let us know when you place your order. Some items may contain nuts, please ask if you have any specific allergies. Equally so, if you're planning on celebrating a special occasion when you visit, let us know in advance and we will do our best to make your visit extra special.

Although every attempts made to serve your meal promptly please keep in mind that our food is freshly prepared and delays may occur during busy periods. We will always try to warn you of a delay when you place your order

All items are offered subject to availability, since items are subject to seasonal variation please telephone before setting off if you were looking forward to something specific.

The famous Black Bull Carvery
Available every Sunday from 12.00pm - 2.30pm. Booking in season advisable.
Featuring local butchered and prepared roasts, seasonal vegetables, roast and mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and incredible gravy to top it all off with. A selection of starters and sweets are always available to compliment your Carvery selection. Mouth-watering!

1. Campo Castillo Viura - Spain. lovely fresh aromas of peach and fennel on the nose. The taste is peachy with some weight and depth. Nice long flavour and clean finish.

2. Olive Hills Pinot Grigio - Italy. Pale yellow colour. Attractive citrus fruit character. Easy drinking with good balance and ripe fruit flavours.

3. Babington Brook Chardonnay - Australia. Easy drinking, soft and round flavoured with nice balance and a good long flavour.

4. Octopus Cove Sauvignon Blanc - New Zealand. Pale lemon and fresh varietal fruit nose Crisp with refreshing gooseberry and tropical fruit character and a hint of herbaceousness. A lovely wine.

5. River Wild White Zinfandel Rose -California. An aromatic and flavoursome wine, brimful with strawberries and cream flavours and a juicy finish.

6. Cantina Della Torre Sangiovese - Italy. Fruit and spice aromas, wonderful winter fruit flavours, combining with subtle, sweet oak and vanilla characters.

7. La Pintora Merlot - Chile. Light, plummy notes and a ripe berry fruit with soft tannins on the palate make for a very smooth and balanced wine.

8. Babington Brook Shiraz - Australia. Deep ruby colour with rich berry fruit aromas. Full and rich with spicy notes and balanced tannins.

 9. Carlos Serres Tempranillo Rioja - Spain. Fragrant nose with ripe berries and tomato leaf hints. Fruit driven with subtle tannins.
